How We Handle Your Speeding / Traffic Ticket

Most people are good drivers with good records. The goal for everyone should be to keep their record clean. If you just send in your money, you just pleaded guilty to the violation on your ticket. That’s going to show on your record and points will be assessed. Violations and points can affect your insurance rates and your credit score. Recent studies have shown an increase in rates often after just one ticket. And tickets on your record make it harder to help you the next time. So the time to “fix” your traffic or speeding ticket in St. Louis and other cities in Missouri is online now.

At the Law Offices of David Rubin, L.L.C., we will work with the local prosecutor to make sure that you get the best deal possible under the unique facts of your case. That usually means no court appearance, no points and no record.

The prosecutor will want to make sure you learn your lesson. So, you will need to pay a fine and court costs. But generally, we can arrange for the charge to be changed to a non-moving infraction like “illegal parking,” and that will keep your record clean.

If you live in any of the following counties, we can help you: Franklin County, Jefferson County, Lincoln County, Montgomery County, Ste. Genevieve County, St. Charles County, St. Francois County, St. Louis County, Warren County, and Washington County. (See below for a complete list of municipalities.)

What’s It Cost?

The base fee – the cost to get us started for you is $75.00. There is an additional $10.00 fee for your driving record, which is often required. That’s the usual total charge. But, when you begin to complete the form, you may find added costs based on listed aggravating factors.

As to the costs of the fines, penalties and court costs, we can’t know that until the prosecutor talks to us. If the driver is young, a court appearance may be necessary. If the driving record has other violations on it, the fine may be higher. Usually though, fines and court costs can range between $150 to $300 dollars; depending on the facts and the jurisdiction. Note that if you were in a double fine zone or a construction zone, the fines can be considerably steeper, but we will do all we can to keep those reasonable. Sometimes driving school and/or community service is necessary, particularly when high rates of speeding are involved.
